1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal information is collected when visiting wildstrategy.co.uk or getting in touch with Wild Strategy, how it is used, and which rights apply. Wild Strategy complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. What information we collect
Information provided directly. Contacting Wild Strategy by email, through a contact form, or by booking a call involves collecting a name, email address, phone number (if provided), organisation, the content of the message, and anything else shared voluntarily.
Information collected automatically. When the website is visited, technical information may be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7), either by Wild Strategy or by its service providers. This can include IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring website and approximate location (e.g. town or country).
Client and business contacts. For clients, the contact and billing details needed to deliver services and manage the working relationship are processed.
Personal information is not knowingly collected from children, and the website is not aimed at anyone under 16.
3. How and why we use your information
Under data protection law, a lawful basis is required for using personal information. The following bases apply:

4. Who we share your information with
Personal information is never sold. It is shared only with trusted third parties that help run the business and website, and only as needed. These may include:

website platform or builder
email and mailing list providers
analytics providers
scheduling, video call and file-sharing tools
accountants, professional advisers and insurers; and
regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where we are legally required to do so.
These providers act on Wild Strategy's instructions and are required to protect personal information.
5. How long we keep your information
Personal information is kept only for as long as needed for the purposes above:
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months after the last contact.
- Client records and project information: for the duration of our work together and up to 6 years afterwards, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
- Financial records: at least 6 years, as required by UK law.
- Analytics data: in line with the retention settings of the analytics provider, typically up to 14 months.
When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a website is visited. They help the site work, remember preferences and provide information about how the site is used. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage are also referred to as "cookies" in this policy.

- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it (for example, unsubscribing from emails or changing your cookie settings). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

8. Keeping your information secure
Appropriate technical and organisational measures protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including secure hosting, access controls and the use of reputable service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Marketing emails
Marketing emails are only sent to people who have opted in, or where permitted by law. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and a request to stop can also be made at any time by emailing jo@wildstrategy.co.uk.
